It’s been so good to get out of the city for a few days. To be around more trees and green spaces. Breathe in the fresher air. Hear birdsong all around. And to take in the bright colours that spring has to offer.

While city-life can be creative and energising, I find it can also cloud what is important to me. It can be easy to get sucked into the different pace of life.. and the stresses that can come with it.

Making opportunities for silence and stillness, pause and rest, and especially contact with nature invites an expansion of awareness that can lead to wonder, awe, and even guidance – Tobin Hart

In particular, I’ve been working on a personal project and have needed space for reflection. Simply being among the trees was enough to realign myself and know what I needed to do next. It’s amazing how nature can do that.

It’s good to be back, but I miss the open spaces and feeling of deep time.
